Lineage is relying on TGW Logistics’ automation expertise to build one of the world’s largest temperature-controlled distribution centers in Texas. The highly automated cold storage and frozen food warehouse is scheduled to begin operations in late 2027 and will strengthen the supply chain for the U.S. market.

LGI Logistics Group International is strengthening its senior management team: Frank Weber assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) on July 1, 2026. He will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the group, which has more than 45 locations worldwide.

Swisslog has successfully completed the installation of six Vectura storage and retrieval machines in Lebkuchen-Schmidt's new central logistics hub in Nuremberg. The project has thus reached a milestone on the way to the planned commissioning of the distribution center at the beginning of 2027.

As part of the Empower research project, a six-month test phase with a battery-electric, zero-emission truck prototype from Iveco for heavy commercial vehicles will start in mid-June 2026. Prologis has started construction of the Dortmund DC4WARD logistics, commercial and light industrial park. Around 130,000 square meters of modern space with a focus on sustainability and energy-efficient operation will be built on the former industrial site in Dortmund-Dorstfeld by 2028.
