Lineage Relying on Automation from TGW Logistics in Texas
Lineage is relying on TGW Logistics’ automation expertise to build one of the world’s largest temperature-controlled distribution centers in Texas. The highly automated cold storage and frozen food warehouse is scheduled to begin operations in late 2027 and will strengthen the supply chain for the U.S. market.
Lineage is building one of the world’s largest and most modern temperature-controlled distribution centers in Hutchins, near Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. To automate key intralogistics processes,TGW Logistics is providing a solution featuring a shuttle warehouse, energy-efficient conveyor technology for pallets and cartons, and automated palletizing and depalletizing stations. The go-live is scheduled for late 2027.
The logistics center will support a major U.S. food manufacturer and strengthen Lineage’s North American cold chain network. The automation is designed to enable high throughput, shorter turnaround times, and efficient handling of refrigerated and frozen products.
TGW Logistics has many years of experience in the automation of refrigerated and frozen warehouses. The technologies used are designed for temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees Celsius and are deployed worldwide in food and retail logistics.
