Logistics property near Berlin
P3 Logistic Parks leases to Amazon
P3 Logistic Parks has built an 11,700 square meter distribution center for Amazon in Hoppegarten near Berlin. The new location is responsible for last-mile solutions.
As logistics real estate is a key component of an efficient supply chain, logistics close to the city is becoming a success factor for retailers. The new Amazon center is located around 17 kilometers east of Berlin with direct access to the B1. The building has twelve gates, seven dock levellers and a jumbo dock leveller. Amazon uses an automatic conveyor system and a mezzanine for parcel sorting in the hall.
Increasing customer requirements
With the inner-city distribution center in Hoppegarten, Amazon is meeting increasing customer demand for fast and reliable parcel delivery. Sönke Kewitz, Managing Director of P3 Germany, explains: "The market's demands on our customers are constantly increasing, especially in the e-commerce sector. We want to offer our partners future-proof buildings with which they can meet their individual requirements. In the case of Amazon, these are last mile and urban logistics solutions."
