FastMove is an electrified monorail system that transports palletized goods through complex warehouse environments. The system achieves transport speeds of up to 2 m/s and capacities of over 600 pallets per hour. Compared to conventional conveyor systems, FastMove offers particular advantages for long transport distances and high throughput, with lower installation and operating costs as well as better use of space.

Growth on Demand

Flexibility and scalability are at the heart of the system's design: A modular rail design allows for complex layouts, and throughput can be easily increased by adding more vehicles—enabling companies to invest incrementally.

FastMove also offers advantages for existing systems: Retrofit packages at the control and software levels extend the service life of existing systems, and mechatronic adjustments are made as needed. The next product version is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2026 and will comply with the requirements of the EU Cyber Resilience Act as well as the current Machinery Directives.

Scope of Application and Integration

FastMove is designed for reliable operation under demanding conditions: The system operates at temperatures ranging from -30 °C to 50 °C and handles loads of up to 1,500 kg, or up to 3,000 kg in dual-load configurations —making it versatile for use in industries such as food and beverage, consumer goods, and retail. Through the SynQ software platform, FastMove can also be seamlessly integrated into existing warehouse IT infrastructures.

“FastMove marks the next step in the further development of MonoRail technology at Swisslog,” says Giovanni Franco, Product Manager, Pallet Transportation at Swisslog. “By combining high performance, modular scalability, and cost-efficiency, the solution provides a future-proof foundation for growth, modernization, and long-term operational efficiency.”
