Experience Zero-Touch live

Schönenberger Systeme will be presenting a live intralogistics system that demonstrates the zero-touch approach from goods receipt to goods issue. The focus will be on the combined transportation of hanging and flat goods, the handling of batch size 1+ and the fully automated transportation of mixed individual parts, including sorting, sequencing and precise provision at the packing station.

At its heart are the ILS2100 modular overhead conveyor system and a pocket sorter with sorter pocket 2.0. The system enables extremely fast, automated unloading and high packaging frequencies. Transport and storage take place under the ceiling to save space, while automatic loading and unloading stations ensure a continuous material flow. Hanging and flat-packed goods are consolidated according to order and made available to the second. Returns can be fed directly back in after inspection.

Schönenberger also shows where Zero Touch is already standard today: from contactless collection to automatic infeed, separation and RFID-supported tracking through to just-in-sequence delivery. At the same time, there is still room for manual quality assurance at the packing station. The approach reduces personnel costs, increases ergonomics, throughput and process quality - an advantage in view of the shortage of skilled workers.
