The logistics and fulfillment specialist Loxxess has put a new hall with around 10,000 square meters into operation in Bor, Czech Republic. The company now operates a total of 87,000 square meters of logistics space at the site and is focusing on multi-channel retail.

The location is close to the German-Czech border and is very well connected to the German road network. Loxxess ships around 5.8 million parcels from there every year. The new hall has a new warehouse management system, modern hardware and an air-conditioned hazardous goods warehouse. Among other things, the location is used to balance out order peaks and enable short-term delivery for the fast-moving online business.

Loxxess offers fulfillment services ranging from call centers and warehouse logistics to accounts receivable management. Dr Claus-Peter Amberger, CEO of Loxxess AG, explains: "Business models and customer needs are currently changing very quickly, driven by digitalization, and particularly rapidly in the area of e-commerce. To improve processes, the company recently tested a number of technical solutions and process optimizations at the site, some of which were put into permanent use.
