GLP leases to Amazon
GLP, investor and developer of logistics properties and distribution parks, has leased a bespoke logistics property with 9,000 square meters of space in its Magna Park Berlin-Werder (Havel) to Amazon. The property was completed in October 2020 and replaces the previous modular Amazon building at the site.
The long-term letting of the logistics property to Amazon once again demonstrates the attractiveness of Magna Park Berlin-Werder (Havel). GLP is currently developing a total of around 62,000 square meters of logistics space on a speculative basis. Magna Park Berlin-Werder (Havel) is located southwest of the capital directly on the A10 freeway, the Berliner Ring. This provides direct access to the A9 (Berlin-Leipzig) and A24 (Berlin-Hamburg) highways.
"We are once again working with Amazon in the German market and are delighted that we can once again make a contribution to the company's success. The project that has now been completed follows on seamlessly from the recent lease of a warehouse in Hanover with 13,000 square meters of space to the company. It is another important milestone in our ongoing business relationship, which we would like to continue to strengthen in the future," explains Rieke Ringena, Development Director, GLP.
