New ZF Friedrichshafen logistics center inaugurated
Alfdorf/Stuttgart, 19.07.2018 - On July 12, the official handover and inauguration of the logistics center developed by Panattoni Europe for automotive supplier ZF took place in Alfdorf. The ceremony was attended by representatives from the town and the region, as well as the companies involved. Panattoni built a logistics center on 27,307 square meters, around 13,700 of which were used for storage and around 700 for offices and social areas. The logistics center is attached to the existing building, which will continue to be used for logistics.
Michael Ruster, ZF plant manager in Alfdorf, comments:
"It was very important for us to be able to stay here in Alfdorf. With the expansion to include additional warehouse and office space, we can grow synergistically. We are very satisfied that this challenging project could be realized on time and reliably under the leadership of Panattoni Europe."
The ZF subsidiary TRW Automotive produces and stores production material and components for occupant protection systems here. The total investment costs amounted to 14 million euros.
