Werner Gliem moves to JLL

Based in Hanover, he has been responsible for JLL's Germany-wide strategic business development in the rental market for warehouse and logistics space since the beginning of March.

Gliem is also part of the Supply Chain Consulting team that JLL has been building up worldwide since 2008. "Instead of approaching the company's real estate managers as before, we are starting at a different level: with the supply chain managers," explains Frank Weber, Head of Industrial Agency Germany at JLL. "This allows us to get involved much earlier in a company's real estate search process and work with our clients to find out where which properties make sense."

From 2011 to 2018, Gliem was Managing Director of Logistik-Initiative Hamburg. Numerous Logistics Initiative projects such as the FairTruck label, the Smart Last Mile Logistics project network platform and the Digital Hub Logistics Hamburg can be traced back to his involvement, reports JLL. Before the graduate economist joined the logistics initiative, he worked for Continental,
tts Global Logistics and Fiege Germany in strategic business development. His last stop before joining JLL was Delticom, an online retailer for tires and car accessories as well as a specialist in the e-food sector.

One of the first decisions for the strategic development of JLL's Industrial Agency business is the launch of this service at the Hanover office. From April, Nima Zarindast as Director and Pierre-Paolo Kallenbach as Senior Consultant will build up the new offering there and establish it on the market.
