With the certification of new commercial properties, the German Sustainable Building Council - DGNB e.V. pursues the goal of consistently promoting sustainable and ecologically efficient construction. A prerequisite for the successful award of a property is a successful assessment based on more than 60 different criteria from the areas of ecology, economy, socio-cultural and functional characteristics, technology and process efficiency. The platinum certificate for the multicube rheinhessen reflects the quality of the project and the underlying planning concept of Krüger Consult GmbH from Burgwedel.

As the general contractor, Klebl GmbH from Neumarkt i.d.Oberpfalz supported the schedule and, together with the client pfenning logistics and the Krüger planning office, made it possible to achieve the DGNB rating.

The energy consumption of the multicube rheinhessen follows the same standards as its predecessor and is 40% below the standard requirements of the EnEV (Energy Saving Ordinance). This is made possible by

"We are delighted that our logistics center has received the high platinum award from the DGNB," explains Rana Matthias Nag, Commercial Director of the pfenning Group. "Sustainability and ecological efficiency are central pillars of our corporate culture, which are particularly important to us as an owner-managed family business. Our two logistics centers are among 10 industrial buildings in Europe that have met the strict criteria of the DGNB with top marks and have been awarded the platinum certificate," Nag continues.
