Speick natural cosmetics relies on Aisle Master

For its warehouse in the Stuttgart area, Speick Naturkosmetik was looking for a narrow-aisle system that could replace the outdated automated racking system and make better use of the available space. The Aisle-Master articulated forklift truck was chosen.

The use of conventional narrow-aisle forklifts generally requires a very expensive, smooth floor covering. To save these costs, Speick Naturkosmetik wanted a device that could work on the existing floor.

Thanks to the combination of the articulated forklift, the narrow 2020 mm aisle widths between the newly configured and installed racks and the switch from small special pallets to Euro pallets, it was possible to achieve a higher storage density and flexibility. The Aisle Master also ensures fast handling of the Euro pallets as they are picked up lengthways and do not have to be turned crossways or set down on the transport route.

"The old racking system was no longer economical," said Operations Manager René Friedrich, "and we were open to suggestions on how we could update our warehouse and make it more efficient. After evaluating the various narrow aisle systems available, this one proved to be the best in terms of the cost-benefit ratio."

The project to completely restructure the warehouse was completed in around one year.
