Mayr-Melnhof Packaging optimizes logistics operations with AR racks
The Chilean subsidiary of the European group for the production and distribution of paper and cardboard packaging has carried out a comprehensive logistics optimization project at its distribution center in Santiago, Chile.
The project involved the implementation of double-deep selective systems from AR Racking, a specialist in industrial storage solutions. Carolina Kanacri, Administration and Finance Manager at MM Chile, pointed out the need to consolidate their products in a single warehouse to improve operational efficiency.
Efficient implementation: Gantt chart fully adhered to
"We had several rented warehouses for raw materials and finished products as well as logistics companies. We opted for a single warehouse with all products in one consolidated space, which meant a major project to increase the efficiency of the operation. Therefore, it was necessary to set up racking to optimize space in one place.
The choice of AR Racking as a strategic partner was based on the experience and efficiency that the company has demonstrated in previous projects. "We saw their work on site, which was very efficient to implement. They fully adhered to the agreed Gantt chart. Their production process is very speedy. They are a reputable company with multinational backing and concrete references. They responded appropriately and punctually to our requests from the head office," explained Kanacri.
