Analog meets digital
nextLAP and NeoLog enter into partnership
nextLAP GmbH has recently entered into a partnership with NeoLog GmbH. The "Pick by Sensor" technology will now be combined with NeoLog's operating and logistics equipment, such as shelving systems and services.
nextLAP specializes in the development of IoT-based manufacturing and logistics solutions for the digitalization of picking processes, for example, and relies on the "do-it-yourself principle". NeoLog is a niche provider of individual solutions for production facilities and logistics equipment. Shelving and pipe clamping systems are a key component of the portfolio. The company also offers services relating to ergonomics, health protection, occupational safety, material flow and process efficiency.
"In order to guarantee lean processes, analog and digital components and services must interlock to the maximum. NeoLog works with lean management experts to develop customized equipment and services that can now be linked to our products. As a first step, NeoLog is offering our pick-by-sensor system," explains André Ziemke, Managing Director of nextLAP GmbH.
The intelligent pushbutton with pick-by-light function from nextLAP's "Smart Shelf" product family is aimed at semi-automated, paperless picking, making picking processes faster, more flexible and more efficient. For example, acknowledgements and picking errors are avoided and routes are reduced - resulting in considerable time and cost savings. The nextLAP solution and NeoLog's tube and rack infrastructure create a smart rack. The two companies are thus addressing the logistics and retail sectors.
