New CEO and President for Bridgestone EMEA

Zaventem/Belgium, 25.07.2016 - Tire manufacturer Bridgestone EMEA has appointed Paolo Ferrari as its new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He will be responsible for the business of the world's leading tire and rubber company in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Italian will take up his post on September 19 in Zaventem, Belgium.
In his position, Paolo Ferrari is also a member of the Board of Directors and Group Management of Bridgestone Europe NV/SA. The previous CEO Franco Annunziato had already moved to the position of Executive Chairman and CEO of Bridgestone China Asia Pacific in January 2016. Paolo Ferrari has many years of experience in international management functions in North America, Europe and Latin America. He is moving to Belgium from tire manufacturer Pirelli, where he currently still holds the position of CEO for the LATAM region (Latin America). He was previously responsible for the company's business in North America as CEO and Chairman. Earlier in his career, Paolo Ferrari worked as an investment banker at Credit Suisse First Boston in London before holding various Chief Executive positions at the Telecom Italia Group in Germany, Italy and the UK.

Paolo Ferrari holds a Bachelor of Business and Economics from Università Bocconi (Milan, Italy) and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
