TGW presents new storage and retrieval machine

With the Mustang E+, TGW presents a new development stage in the miniload sector. The further development of the Mustang E is intended to combine high driving and lifting performance with outstanding approach dimensions and intelligence in control and design.

The development process for the new model was based on a wide range of experience gained from operation, maintenance and servicing at hundreds of customers. "We have worked intensively with the market and the requirements of our customers and have consistently further optimized the Mustang E," emphasizes Martin Rausch, Managing Director at TGW Mechanics. "The result is the E+. With it, we can now optimally cover the height range up to 18 meters."

Thanks to a further development of the lifting unit, the Mustang E+ is also designed for use with a load handling device that can store and retrieve up to four cartons with a total weight of 100 kg. In terms of performance, the Mustang E+, which is also available with an optional anti-pendulum drive, is at the top of the TGW storage and retrieval machines. This is thanks to its lower weight compared to its "big brother", the Mustang R, which is up to 25 meters long and enables even more dynamic driving.

The compact, weight-optimized design creates the ideal conditions for use even in multi-storey systems. Thanks to its small approach dimensions, the available storage space can be used in the best possible way. In addition, the Mustang E+ - like the entire TGW product portfolio - is optimized for the deep-freeze sector.

According to the company, all main components (such as load handling attachments, chassis or mast with lifting unit) are already commissioned and extensively tested at TGW. "However, it is not just the software and control technology that make the Mustang E+ so intelligent, but also its high level of flexibility. This means that the diverse requirements of customers and control partners can be optimally met," explains Armin Leithner, Product Manager Smart Mechatronics. "Depending on the application, the Mustang E+ offers many options already embedded in the standard modular system for optimum configuration."

Customers can choose from various device versions: with individually configured lifting capacity, different motor variants from different manufacturers and an optional maintenance platform that moves with the vehicle.
