TGW Logistics expands headquarters in Marchtrenk
The ground-breaking ceremony for the expansion of the TGW headquarters in Marchtrenk took place on September 25. TGW Logistics will invest in a 25,000 m² production building and a highly automated warehouse system by summer 2026.
Among other things, shuttle robots, storage and retrieval machines and pallet conveyor technology are manufactured and exported internationally on the new premises. The highly automated warehouse consists of a shuttle warehouse for containers, in which robots take care of storing and retrieving the components, as well as a high-bay warehouse with 11,000 storage locations for pallets. After retrieval, mobile TGW robots autonomously transport the components to the assembly stations.
Commitment to the location
With this major investment, the company wants to make a clear commitment to Upper Austria as a business location, even in the face of a challenging economic environment. "Regardless of the challenging economic conditions, we are deliberately investing at this time," emphasizes Henry Puhl. "It is clear to us that intralogistics is an industry of the future with enormous potential. With the expansion, we are laying the foundations to be able to exploit this potential in the coming years."
