Quooker, the inventor of the boiling water tap, which was developed in Rotterdam back in 1970, has experienced enormous growth in recent times. The Dutch company now operates in 15 countries and needed a larger automated system in order to continue its sustainable growth.

Robot-assisted stacking and strapping technology

Quooker chose Swisslog to develop and implement the high-tech logistics system. The company will equip the 23,000 square meter facility with its versatile and efficient "Vectura" pallet stacker crane for high-bay warehouses.

The highlight of the 20 million euro project is the robot-assisted stacking and strapping technology, which enables contactless picking and packing. The project includes an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) that can store over 31,000 pallets and is controlled by Swisslog's SynQ logistics software. The 30-metre-high automated pallet racking system enables maximum storage density and is supplemented by pallet and light goods conveyor systems.

"Swisslog is proud to accompany Quooker on its path to sustainable growth," says Cees Luijendijk, Managing Director of Swisslog Benelux. "Our intelligent automation solutions offer flexibility and efficiency. With their help, Quooker will be able to sustainably meet the demand of its customers for years to come."

Commissioning of the intelligent automation system from Swisslog is planned for February 2026. This will equip Quooker for further international growth while minimizing the environmental impact of its operations.
