With the new construction of the USZ logistics and service center in Schlieren, which supplies the USZ center in Zurich as well as the external stations, a specially adapted roll container was required for distribution. This is where the roll containers from Wanzl come into play: "The wide range of applications at different locations was of course a challenge, but one that we mastered thanks to our experience in the logistics sector and our flexible manufacturing capabilities," says Markus Spengler, Head of the Wanzl Logistics + Industry division. The transport trolleys are used in all warehouse and distribution logistics, including order picking, cross-docking, truck transportation and internal transport in the clinics. The roll containers were configured to suit the respective local conditions as well as the various tasks. They fit easily through normal room doors and, thanks to a robust drawbar design from Wanzl, the roll containers can be easily coupled together in a tugger train.
