LIP Invest: New logistics building completed

LIP Invest, an investment house in the logistics real estate asset class in Germany, was able to take over the logistics center in Oberkrämer, Im Gewerbepark 40, from project developer Panattoni after a construction period of just under 10 months.

The ceremonial handover to the tenant SHK Bergmann & Franz took place in mid-December in the presence of the mayor Wolfgang Geppert, Stephan Lammers, Supply Chain Director SHK, and Daniel Pahl, authorized signatory of LIP Invest, among others.

The approximately 26,000 square meter distribution center meets the latest standards in terms of both third-party usability and environmental awareness. With a hall height of 12.20 meters, a generous paved outdoor storage area and the possibility of dividing it into three units, the new building is suitable for a wide range of logistical uses.

LIP's sister company AvanLog Solar is building a photovoltaic system on the roof areas that can supply the tenant with green direct electricity. The e-charging stations for cars and trucks can also be operated with solar power.

LIP had already acquired the property for one of its funds in 2022 as part of a forward deal. A long-term green lease agreement was concluded with the tenant to ensure the sustainable operation of the logistics property. SHK Bergmann Franz is a long-established sanitary wholesaler that uses the new location as a central warehouse. The company stores and distributes up to 30,000 items from its extensive product range in Oberkrämer.
