Trade conflict with the USA
Baoli strengthens commitment in Europe
The trade conflict between the USA and China is leaving its mark. Experts predict that numerous suppliers will invest in trade networks on the European market. Baoli, a Chinese manufacturer of forklift trucks, sees this as an opportunity to strengthen its presence in Europe.
US and Chinese customs policies have increasingly shifted the focus of global trade players to the European continent. Baoli, a manufacturer active in almost 40 countries in the EMEA region, is also feeling the effects. "More and more large European companies are asking us to work with them in the countries where they are growing. They want a reliable partner based in Europe that sells quality products," explains Giovanni Culici, Managing Director of Baoli EMEA.
According to a study published by NBC News, imports of American products to China fell by 31% in June. In addition, according to a Reuters survey, exports from the Chinese market fell by 1.3% compared to 2018. The South China Morning Post reported that Chinese exports to the USA fell by 7.8%.
