The Chairman of the Management Board, Dr. Henry Puhl, personally welcomed the young professionals to the Hamburg headquarters. "The fact that there is so much interest in training at Still, even in times like these when the search for qualified junior staff is becoming increasingly challenging, is a great compliment for us and our training standards," explains Henry Puhl.

After the welcome address, the young professionals were given a comprehensive impression of the company, its products and its philosophy. Over the next few days, further introductory events, briefings on current safety and prevention standards, a factory tour and initial insights into the different professional and learning environments of the trainees and dual students are on the agenda in small groups.

At the Hamburg headquarters alone, 29 trainees are starting their apprenticeships in six professions - including mechatronics technicians, industrial mechanics and warehouse logistics specialists as well as commercial professions. In addition, there are seven new students in Hamburg on dual study programs such as business administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering and information technology. With the start of the 2020 training year, Still is training a total of 201 junior staff across Germany at 14 locations and in ten training professions.

"We are training the innovators of tomorrow today," emphasizes Henry Puhl. "We at Still have been very aware of this responsibility, but also of this great opportunity for us and the entire industry, for 100 years now. With the corresponding commitment, we invest in our young talent every day - and are rewarded with a lot of enthusiasm, creativity and great performance from our trainees." Still has already received numerous awards for its excellent training program in recent years. 2020 is the seventh year in which Still has achieved the top score of five stars in the certification as "Hamburg's best training company". This is the ninth year in a row that Still has received the "Top Employer Germany" award from the Top Employers Institute.
