Smart Heavy Pac complements the range
Schoeller Allibert and Recalo expand partnership
Plastics specialist Schoeller Allibert and pooling company Recalo are expanding their strategic partnership: both companies have signed an exclusivity agreement to jointly market the foldable large volume container Smart Heavy Pac exclusively for the FMCG and food industry.
The existing strategic partnership between Recalo and Schoeller Allibert already included a long-term supplier contract as well as the production and marketing of a new, three-part, foldable reusable load carrier SLP (Smart Light Pac) for the FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) sector and the food industry. The two companies are expanding this agreement to include a further product: the foldable large volume container SHP (Smart Heavy Pac). The new SHP combines Recalo's many years of experience in the pooling business with Schoeller Allibert's specialist knowledge. In addition to its high payload of 750 kilograms, the straight, closed side walls of the SHP also help to optimize the transport of goods.
This is because they support automated handling and, together with the lid, reliably protect the transported goods from dust and dirt. A drainage opening in the closed base provides additional protection against moisture, making outdoor storage possible without any problems. The SHP is suitable for temperatures from minus 20 to plus 40 degrees Celsius, it can be cleaned with hot water at up to 90 degrees Celsius and corresponds to the basic dimensions of a EUR 1 Euro pallet. The load carrier measures 1,200 x 800 millimetres and is 958 or 984.6 millimetres high - depending on whether it is configured with or without a lid - and can hold 665 or 672 liters. When empty, the container can be folded to around a third of its volume. This saves costs during storage and return transportation - and as more empties fit into a truck,CO2 emissions are also reduced.
Recalo and Schoeller have also jointly developed the SHS (Smart Heavy Shelf) load-bearing intermediate shelf especially for the SHP. This allows users to subdivide the load volume of the returnable load carrier and make optimum use of it. In addition, the goods to be transported are optimally protected by the SHS.
The contract that has now been signed is part of a comprehensive and long-term collaboration between the two companies. It promises a sales volume of around eleven million euros over the next five years.
