Boxes for logistics solutions
Con-Pearl is a manufacturer of environmentally friendly lightweight PP boards. The company has been using this material for years to produce logistics and transport packaging in pallet and half-pallet format, among other things. Con-Pearl now also offers boxes in the handy weight class with a load capacity of up to 25 kg.
The new stacking boxes are designed for intralogistics or order picking and are manufactured individually according to customer wishes and requirements. Like the larger Con-Pearl containers, the boxes are made from recycled material, are reusable and can be recycled back into the company.
The new model range and its use
There are different versions to choose from depending on the application: the Con-Pearl stacking box with its slightly conical shape can be stacked to save space after use. This box is suitable for the mail order business, for example: according to the supplier, it can save up to 50 percent in weight compared to conventional injection-moulded containers and is particularly quiet on standard roller conveyors and roller conveyor belts. The model is already being used by leading international online retailers.
Unlike the stacking box, the Con-Pearl folding box can be easily folded thanks to its intelligent folding system, which significantly reduces the space required when not in use. The integrated lid can be closed with Velcro or cable ties, allowing the contents of the folding box to be sealed if required. It is therefore suitable for secure individual transportation and replaces the usual disposable cardboard box. As an insert, it fits into the Con-Pearl pallet box Light Tech Box II. Each loading level can be equipped with four folding boxes.
Transport box: "keyhole connectors" save space
The Con-Pearl transport box is held together by special connectors. While the stacking and folding boxes are firmly connected by ultrasonically welded surfaces, Con-Pearl's patented "keyhole connectors" are used here, which are released by turning them 180° when not in use and then removed. The box can then be completely unfolded. This minimizes the storage space required. The transport box is also a perfect addition to the LTB II, which as a container can hold up to two layers of four boxes each (with intermediate plate). Like the other boxes, the open-top transport box weighs between one and two and a half kilograms, depending on the thickness of the material.
