Box with a special twist
Cabka-IPS presented the new version of the Twistlock Box and the new Euro E7 pallet at Fruit Logistica.

Cabka-IPS presented its new products to the fruit and food industry at Fruit Logistica in Berlin. The new version of the Twistlock Box was on show for the first time: a hinged container that is now available with a new footprint of 300 x 400 millimeters. This complements the previous version, which is available in dimensions of 600 x 400 millimetres.
A special feature of the product that has already proven itself in practice is the "Twistlock" active locking system, which ensures easy handling and quick locking and unlocking of the box. This makes it child's play for the user to set up and fold. The low height of the box ensures high compaction of empties - it is only 28 millimetres high when folded. A total of 10,296 Twistlock boxes measuring 600 x 400 millimetres can be transported on one articulated lorry - this reduces process costs and the CO2 footprint.

Another new product is the Euro E7, the company's latest pallet. It represents the best of both worlds, as it combines the advantages of wooden and plastic pallets. The entry openings, deck height and blocks of the Euro E7 correspond to the dimensions of a Europool pallet. This means that the plastic pallet can be smoothly integrated into automatic storage and transport systems that have been configured to handle standard wooden pallets. This brings many advantages for load carrier management:
- The Euro E7 can run in parallel in a conveyor system alongside wooden pallets without any adjustment problems.
- It can serve as a shuttle for defective wooden pallets.
- Stoppers, light barriers and sensors in the conveyor systems do not need to be specially adapted.
Another plus point for users are the low follow-up costs (e.g. breakage, handling, transportation, shrinkage and storage costs) of the Euro E7 and its associated high cost-effectiveness. It impresses with a long service life even at high circulation rates, low process downtimes and low transportation costs thanks to its light weight. Sharp edges or wood splinters, which can cause damage to goods and conveyor systems, are a thing of the past. In addition, the Euro E7 retains its material value at the end of its service life. It can be 100 percent recycled and processed into new pallets by Cabka-IPS.
