Geek+ supplies goods-to-man robotic system for myEnso
Geek+, a global provider of intelligent logistics robots, is pleased to announce another robotic project in Germany. The company has been selected by myEnso, a Germany-based pioneer in online grocery, to further develop and technologically update the company's e-commerce distribution center with a state-of-the-art goods-to-person picking solution. myEnso will use Geek+'s solution to advance its e-commerce platform and enable regional producers, startups and well-known brands to connect and serve online shoppers across Germany.
Jackson Zhang, President of Geek+ Europe, says: "We are proud to partner with myEnso and look forward to helping them optimize their warehouse operations and better serve their online customers with the help of intelligent logistics robots. myEnso will benefit from one of the most innovative and reliable goods-to-person picking systems on the market. We are very pleased to welcome them to our rapidly growing customer base in Europe. It's great to be part of a project that aims to equip businesses, regardless of size, with the necessary capabilities to compete and shape the future of online grocery shopping in Germany."
As the first step in an extensive cooperation, Geek+ will implement a goods-to-person solution with 30 autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for 15,000 SKUs in the first half of 2021. In which self-driving robots autonomously transport shelves with ordered goods between the warehouse area and the workstation, they enable more efficient and accurate picking and putaway processes. Similarly, AI and intelligent software will enable myEnso to optimize workflows and organize its inventory of over 15,000 SKUs according to demand. Thanks to automatic self-charging and provision of loaner equipment, Geek+ logistics robots will also support myEnso in 24/7 operations to cope with peak periods of fluctuating demand.
Norbert Hegmann, Managing Director of Enso e-Commerce GmbH: "We are delighted that the intelligent robot systems from Geek+ will enable us to better serve our customers and producers with a larger selection and faster deliveries, and to noticeably increase our efficiency. We will also be able to offer smaller manufacturers in particular a more attractive fulfillment service in the future. Geek+ convinced us with its many references and its experience, particularly in the e-commerce sector. With the ability to respond flexibly to fluctuating demand, better handle a broader product mix and mitigate the widespread labor shortage, we can not only adapt and grow, but also drive real change through better services."
