Utility vehicles: Iveco and Shell present "Low Emission Area" at the IAA Commercial Vehicles

Unterschleissheim, 18.07.2018 - Together with Shell, Iveco will be showcasing a 100% diesel-free "Low Emission Area" at its stand at the IAA Commercial Vehicles in Hanover. A complete range of alternative vehicles with electric, CNG and LNG drive systems that are already available on the market today will be on display, covering all applications from passenger transport to long-distance transportation. Electric drive systems can play an important role, particularly in passenger transport with a high stop & go share in city centers.

Pierre Lahutte, Iveco Brand President, comments: "The pressure on diesel is increasing: Public opinion has turned. EU institutions and national governments are introducing policies and subsidies to support the conversion of fleets to environmentally friendly technologies. At the IAA, Iveco will demonstrate with its diesel-free "Low Emission Area" in collaboration with Shell that its full range of electric, CNG and LNG powertrains is available today as a valid alternative to diesel vehicles."

Round table: Energy transition in transportation
Iveco would like to organize a round table on "The energy transition towards a sustainable future in transport" as well as workshops dealing with topics related to the introduction of alternative drive technologies in the transport sector and the potential of a circular economy concept. mm
