Pleasing annual sales
cargo-partner breaks the billion mark in turnover
The transport and info-logistics company cargo-partner once again increased its turnover in 2020 and achieved an annual turnover of over one billion euros for the first time in the company's history.
On Friday, October 30, cargo-partner exceeded the EUR 1,000,000,000 mark in annual invoicing for the first time. The company is therefore well on track to achieve its target of two billion euros in turnover by 2025. Although the transport volume has slightly decreased compared to the previous year and despite the overall challenging market environment, cargo-partner has successfully emerged from 2020 thanks to customized solutions for urgent shipments and flexible alternatives for COVID-19 transport restrictions. Stefan Krauter, CEO of cargo-partner, is pleased with the positive results and the company's continued growth trajectory: "The year 2020 has brought a number of unprecedented challenges for the global economy and especially for the logistics industry. I am proud to say that cargo-partner has overcome these challenges - thanks to the extraordinary dedication of our teams around the world and our ability to offer our customers fast and flexible alternatives for their transportation challenges. These results show that we are on the right track. "
At the beginning of 2020, the international transport and info-logistics service provider expanded its service portfolio several times to meet the special challenges of its customers in the face of Covid-19 transport restrictions and capacity shortages. Since March, cargo-partner has been offering several weekly charter flights from China and Hong Kong to Europe to support customers with their urgent shipments.
For less time-critical transport requests, the company offers rail transport services via the "Iron Silk Road" with several weekly FCL and LCL departures in a westerly direction as well as weekly FCL and LCL departures in an easterly direction. As a further, faster alternative for seafreight transports from Asia to Europe, cargo-partner recently introduced the new premium service Adria Priority Express via the ports of Koper and Trieste. Transit times from the main ports in the Far East to the Adriatic ports are on average 5 to 8 days shorter compared to North Sea ports.
