The so-called last mile is currently a problem for many parcel service providers in city centers: Environmental zones, diesel bans, narrow streets and traffic chaos are slowing down processes. Hermes Germany is responding to the change and is looking for solutions in this business area and has discovered that logistics and sustainability do not have to be mutually exclusive: Logistics and sustainability do not have to be mutually exclusive.

"The use of cargo bikes is part of Hermes' Urban Blue strategy to make emission-free deliveries to the 80 largest German city centers. We are therefore looking forward to taking delivery of the next cargo bikes and using them in exciting city logistics projects," reports Michael Peuker, Project Manager at Hermes. The MovR Cargobikes from RYTLE are in use in Berlin and Hamburg for "the last mile" and offer the perfect combination of fast, safe, environmentally friendly transportation as well as comprehensive logistics software, transparency and flexibility. It is also possible to use micro-depots with swap boxes and to digitally network all participants with each other in real time.
