Stefan Ott new Head of Department at viastore Systems
Stefan Ott (59) is the new Head of Stacker Cranes at intralogistics expert viastore Systems in Stuttgart and is also taking over the management of the Bietigheim production site.
The graduate engineer specializing in automation technology is now responsible for the development, design, production and assembly of storage and retrieval machines. Previously, Ott was Head of the Storage and Retrieval Machines division at MIAS GmbH in Munich and Managing Director of MIAS Hungary Kft, the MIAS production plant in Hungary. "With Stefan Ott, we have gained a proven expert in this field for our team," says Philipp Hahn-Woernle, CEO of the viastore Group. "As a company, we will benefit from his wealth of experience."
Stefan Ott, married and father of two children, started his career in an engineering office for automation and process technology after studying automation technology at Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences. After a stopover in software development at a textile machine manufacturer, he joined E&K Automation GmbH, formerly Indumat, a manufacturer of driverless transport systems. Ott then moved to MIAS GmbH, where he held several management positions over the years. "As a respected international intralogistics provider, viastore has a great deal of expertise, which I will continue to expand with my own experience in the fields of storage and retrieval machines, conveyor technology and automated guided vehicles," explains Ott.
