Storage- and racking systems
RBG with clever energy management
Dambach Lagersysteme offers its storage and retrieval machines with innovative DSE energy management. With DSE, only 20 percent of the energy required for power peaks such as acceleration or lifting is taken from the mains. The greater part comes from the high-performance energy storage system integrated in the stacker crane. Power caps are used for energy storage. The energy storage units are filled by recovering energy during braking and lifting. If the energy storage units cannot be completely filled through energy recovery, the integrated DSE energy management system ensures that they are recharged from the grid. Low load times of the system are used and power peaks from the grid are avoided. The design of a system's power supply is no longer based on short-term power peaks, but on the significantly lower average power consumption. Expensive grid installations required for peak power are no longer necessary. Dambach's energy management system reduces energy consumption by at least a third, but without any grid feed-back or grid repercussions. Energy saving is also possible in areas where feeding power back into the grid is not permitted for reasons of grid stability.
