New CFO at Dachser
Thomas Hiemer has been Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at logistics service provider Dachser since January 1, 2025. As a member of the Executive Board, he is responsible for Finance, Controlling, Tax & Treasury (FCT). Hiemer took over from Dachser CEO Burkhard Eling, who had headed the Executive Unit for the past 18 months.
He has been working in the finance department at Dachser for twelve years. He initially successfully managed Group Controlling before taking on the position of Head of Corporate Finance in December 2021. In July 2023, Hiemer was appointed Deputy Director of the Executive Unit Finance, Controlling, Tax & Treasury and thus acted as Deputy Head of Finance. Before joining Dachser, Hiemer worked in finance at the DAX-listed company Heidelberg Materials, among others.
Close networking within the company
"The fact that we can fill this position from within our own ranks is a great gain for us," explains Bernhard Simon, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Dachser. "As CFO, Thomas Hiemer assumes a position of trust in the exchange with the shareholders and an important role on the Management Board. His close networking within the company is a distinct advantage."
"Sustainable growth based on a long-term orientation - this is what guides the thoughts and actions of the Dachser family business. A strong and well-orchestrated finance department plays an important role in this," says CEO Burkhard Eling. "Thomas Hiemer has already familiarized himself deeply with the CFO role at Dachser. He will take over seamlessly and thus ensure continuity in management."
