Customers and employees of the Gras Group will also benefit from new opportunities and perspectives. All employees will be taken on and existing contracts with customers and business partners will remain unchanged. The usual contact persons will continue to be available.

The Gras Group employs around 470 people at five locations in Rhineland-Palatinate, North Rhine-Westphalia and Baden-Württemberg. In 2023, the company generated a turnover of around 125 million euros. The portfolio includes transport concepts for procurement and distribution, B2B and private customer deliveries as well as contract and warehouse logistics. Gras recently invested in the further development of its logistics services with the construction of a modern logistics center in Polch.

Many years of cooperation within the IDS network

The fact that the owners of the Gras Group are selling their company to the Geis Group is based on over 35 years of trusting partnership within the IDS Group. Both owner-managed companies have been working together closely and amicably since the 1980s. Gras is active at the IDS sites in Neuwied, Polch, Mannheim and Frechen, which will now become part of the Geis Group. "With the sale to the Geis Group, we know that the future of the Gras Group and our employees are in the best hands," says Madeleine Boos, Managing Partner of Gras, who is stepping down at her own request. Managing Director Horst Stockschläder is taking his well-deserved retirement after decades of commitment. Jens Köster will remain on board as Managing Director and will run the company together with the Geis management team.

"We would like to thank the Gras Group and in particular Madeleine Boos and Horst Stockschläder for their trust," emphasizes Jochen Geis, Managing Partner of the Geis Group. "As a family-run company, we stand for very similar values and convictions. We can therefore offer the new employees of the Gras Group a reliable professional home."
