Packaging by Quadient wins trophy at PPTI Awards
Great honor for Packaging by Quadient: The French company can celebrate two awards at the PPTI Awards.
Packaging by Quadient's CVP Everest automated high-speed packaging system has been named "Sorting and Fulfillment Technology of the Year" by the judges of the 2020 Parcel and Postal Technology International (PPTI) Awards. In addition to this honor, Packaging by Quadient's Parcel Pending Lite automated electronic locker system was named a finalist in the "Final Mile Innovation of the Year" category at this year's PPTI Awards.
The PPTI Awards, which were presented for the twelfth time this year, recognize new, innovative developments in the postal and parcel industry. The winners were announced on October 13 at the Parcel+Post Expo Virtual Live conference. A global jury consisting of industry executives had previously voted on the submitted solutions. The CVP Everest high-speed packaging system uses 3D scanning technology to construct customized corrugated boxes in the appropriate size around soft or hard goods. The CVP Everest, which was launched in the DACH region at the beginning of 2020, can produce up to 1,100 packages per hour. This means that a fully packaged consignment leaves the system every three seconds.
Jury member Elmar Toime, Director of E Toime Consulting Ltd, emphasizes: "It is always great to see that a wide variety of projects are submitted to the awards and that very different companies take part in this competition. A fundamental goal is to make the industry more sustainable and customer-oriented through innovation. The award is a valuable initiative to ensure that progress in logistics is widely recognized."
"We are honored to have been selected for this prestigious Sorting and Fulfillment Technology of the Year award," says Geoffrey Godet, CEO of Quadient. "As e-commerce and parcel volumes continue to grow, and as part of our strategy, Quadient is committed to providing innovative and leading intelligent parcel delivery solutions for customers around the world."
