Automation for industrial cutting
Exhibition stand and furniture builders, advertising technicians and packaging experts - they all use cutter systems to cut materials precisely to size. Zünd Systemtechnik is a point of contact for them. For its latest development, the BHS150 cutting table with automatic feed and removal system, the machine manufacturer brought Schmalz on board as an expert for the design of the vacuum system.
The system takes materials from the stack and places individual sheets on the cutting machine. The vacuum technology is crucial here. In order to achieve short cycle times, Schmalz recommended generating the vacuum directly on the suction cup using the ecoPump SEP ejector module with silencer. The vacuum generator enables high volume flows, which also ensures fast processes. The flexible, adaptable sealing lip of the SPB2 bellows suction cup adapts perfectly to different surfaces and seals well. Round flat suction pads are also installed, which can grip the workpiece quickly and accurately due to their shape and small volume.
