Container deep-water port
JadeWeserPort: Port fees remain stable
The Supervisory Board of JadeWeserPort Realisierungs GmbH & Co. KG has decided not to increase the port charges currently in force at Germany's only deep-water container port, JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven.
This is the committee's response to the current tense situation in the seaport transport industry due to low growth volumes, trade conflicts between the USA and China and changes in the automotive industry.
Holger Banik, Managing Director of JadeWeserPort Realisierungs GmbH & Co. KG and Niedersachsen Ports GmbH & Co. KG, comments: "With the constant port fees, we are setting an example and signaling our support to the national and international maritime industry. Compared to traditional ports, the fees at JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven are still at a very low level."
