The data on inland shipping published by the Statistical Office of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (Statistisches Landesamt Nord) reports an increase of 20 percent for the Port of Hamburg in the first quarter compared to the same period last year, with 34,640 TEU (20-foot standard containers).
