GVZ JadeWeserPort in the top 20 for the first time
The JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven freight distribution center (GVZ) was ranked 16th among the top 20 European freight villages in a ranking published by Deutsche GVZ-Gesellschaft mbH (DGG) on 11 March.
This means that GVZ JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven has improved by 30 places compared to the last evaluation. "The successful ranking reflects the steadily growing interest in the GVZ areas," commented Michael Moehlmann, Head of Sales at Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven JadeWeserPort-Marketinggesellschaft.
The ranking is compiled by the DGG every five years and takes a close look at around 200 locations. The study focused on the member countries of the European GVZ umbrella organization "Europlatforms", which accompanied the study for the first time. In addition to Germany, the countries included Finland, Italy, Austria, Poland, Spain and Hungary. For the evaluation of the locations, 15 element groups were formed, which in turn contained 38 evaluation criteria.
The success of the GVZ JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven is based in particular on the assessment of the expansion options criterion, which according to the DGG are only available in this form at a few locations, as well as on the activities of the management company. Andreas Bullwinkel, Managing Director of Container Terminal Wilhelmshaven JadeWeserPort-Marketinggesellschaft, comments on the result: "We are very pleased with the current result and see it as confirmation that our diverse activities to position the location in the market have been successful."
