Change in management at SWOP

Wolfgang Schiemann has been Managing Director of SWOP - Seaworthy Packing GmbH, a Eurogate Group company, since April 1st. He succeeds Max Schultz.

Schiemann has worked for Eurogate and its predecessors for almost 30 years. From January 2000 to June 2004, he was Operations Manager at Eurogate Container Terminal Hamburg. From July of the same year until the end of 2016, he was Managing Director of Eurogate Container Terminal Bremerhaven. From January 2017 to the end of 2018, he returned to Eurogate Container Terminal Hamburg as Managing Director. Since January 2019, in addition to his role at SWOP, he has been advising the Group Management Board of Eurogate GmbH & Co. He also continues to serve as Managing Director of Eurokombi Terminal GmbH. Michael Blach, Chairman of the Group Management Board, commented on the decision: "With Wolfgang Schiemann, one of the most experienced managers in the Eurogate Group has taken over the management of SWOP. With all his knowledge of our industry and our company, he has helped SWOP from day one to continue the successful development of recent years and to continuously develop the company. I wish Wolfgang Schiemann continued success in his new role."
