"With a direct connection to the A23 federal highway, Tornesch is integrated into the Hamburg metropolitan region, and the state capital of Kiel and the North and Baltic Seas can be reached in less than an hour. The area has undergone constant development in recent years. The modern environment with its diverse industries offers ideal conditions for our business," says Nicolas Neuwirth, Chairman of the Management Board of Thyssenkrupp Plastics, explaining the company's decision in favor of the new location.

The logistics center consists of a single-storey hall measuring around 7,800 square meters with a height of 10 meters, which houses storage, production and distribution. A total of 35 people are employed at the new Tornesch site.

With the move to Tornesch, north of Hamburg, the transfer of the previous Hamburg site in Waidmanstrasse, which was sold back in 2017, has finally been completed. "We have moved into a modern and efficient building that meets the latest technical and ecological standards and is precisely tailored to our needs," says Christian Wisley-Schulz, Branch Manager of Thyssenkrupp Plastics.

Thyssenkrupp Plastics, based in Essen, is part of Thyssenkrupp Materials Services and is a nationwide service provider for product and application consulting, processing, procurement and delivery. The portfolio comprises over 40,000 plastic products and brands. The sales program is geared to the specific requirements of customers in the construction market and building trade, building construction, industrial piping systems, engineering plastics and visual communication sectors.
