The IFOY Gala will also not take place
The IFOY Award Night, planned for July 13, will also not take place. This was announced by the organizers of the award a few hours after the cancellation of the Hannover Messe.
IFOY mastermind Anita Würmser writes with her usual empathy: "I regret to inform you that due to the cancellation of the Hannover Messe 2020, the IFOY Award Night on July 13, 2020 in Hanover must also be canceled. Due to the increasingly critical situation caused by the global spread of the coronavirus, we consider an award ceremony with more than 500 international guests in the coming months to be irresponsible. For this reason, we have decided not to find an alternative date. For the first time in the history of the IFOY Award, we will therefore announce the winners on our digital channels together with our partner Hannove Messe.
