July date under review
Still supports postponement of the Hannover Messe
On Wednesday morning, the Hannover Messe was postponed. The intralogistics company Still supports this plan and is now reviewing its participation in July.
Due to the increasing spread of the coronavirus and the associated health and safety concerns on the part of the organizer and the responsible authorities, Deutsche Messe announced on Wednesday that the Hannover Messe will be postponed to 13 to 17 July 2020. Still is currently examining the possibility of holding its trade fair program on the alternative date.
"For Still, the people we work with and for always come first. We can therefore well understand the decision not to hold an international industry event of this magnitude at this time," comments Thomas A. Fischer, Managing Director Sales, Marketing and Service at Still in Hamburg, on the latest announcement by Deutsche Messe. Still itself had previously canceled its participation in the intralogistics trade fair Logimat. The intralogistics trade fair has now also been canceled for 2020.
Still is traditionally represented at the Hannover Messe with an extensive trade fair program. Whether and how this can be realized on the new date in July will be examined by the company together with its partners over the next few days. "For a trade fair presence like the one we offer visitors to the Hannover Messe to function smoothly, many cogs have to mesh perfectly. Before we can confirm our participation in July, we therefore need to clarify dates, availability and resources for the new event date," explains Fischer.
Still intends to announce his decision regarding participation in July as soon as possible.
