Gentle intermediate charging of lead-acid batteries
With the new Selectiva 4.0 generation of chargers, Fronius offers a solution for supplying lead-acid batteries with energy in a short space of time: using the Power Charging Option, the state of charge of the battery can be increased from 30 percent to 80 percent in less than three hours.
There is often little time between shifts to charge batteries sufficiently. The power charging option is also an easy way to temporarily charge lead-acid batteries. This means that break times are often sufficient to temporarily charge the traction batteries. For example, there is no need to change the battery shortly before the end of a shift. Just 30 minutes can be enough to gain up to two hours of additional operating time for the truck. Fast and safe charging without overheating is made possible by monitoring using a temperature sensor. With the power charging option, users benefit from maximum availability of their forklift truck fleet while at the same time optimizing expenditure. Selectiva chargers charge lead-acid batteries of different sizes, voltages or capacities - this simplifies allocation and reduces operating errors.
