The new models are available with lifting heights of up to 13,560 millimetres and load capacities of up to two tons and can be prepared for the use of lithium-ion batteries. The new reach trucks also have a number of new features: for example, the mast lowering speed can be doubled thanks to the "Xpress Lower" technology. The new Gena operating system of the ESR 1000 series also offers extended functions as standard.

"With the new ESR 1000 series, Crown has brought a truck onto the market that our operators really appreciate thanks to its many innovative features, such as the automatic lift height preselection, the residual capacity indicator and the completely new, intuitive Gena operating experience. This new generation of forklift trucks has clearly proven itself in our tests," says Jan-Peter Wingert, Site Manager at Voigt Logistik, Neumünster. The ESR 1000 series offers new, optional functions that are networked and enable the operator to work at any height without any loss of productivity: The new optional "Xpress Lower" function promotes faster working at height. The technology doubles the mast lowering speed to 1.1 m/s, which is unique on the market and enables up to 21% more productivity. In addition, energy is fed back to the battery when the mast is lowered. Another useful feature is the Capacity Data Monitor, which displays the load weight, lifting height and residual capacity at a glance to ensure that operators stay within the safety limits with the load. The optional Tilt Position Assist compensates for the deflection of the mast and fork carriage and automatically aligns the forks parallel to the ground for more precise positioning. For a clear view very close to the rack and pallet, optional cameras can be fitted to the forks and mast to further optimize load pick-up and positioning.

ESR 1000 comes with a new operating system
Operators, service and safety managers and warehouse managers also benefit from the Gena operating system, which Crown has integrated into the ESR series for the first time. Gena provides all important data or information in more than 25 languages on a 7-inch color touchscreen. In addition to the language, the operator can also choose from various widgets. These display important truck functions such as speed, operating hours, steering angle and battery charge status.

Three model variants
The new reach truck family from Crown includes the ESR 1020 with a narrow chassis, a maximum lift height of 9,090 mm, a top speed of 10 km/h and load capacities of 1.4 and 1.6 tons. The ESR 1040 model with an overall width of 1,285 mm is a solution without compromising on durability or operating comfort. The ESR 1060 is designed for applications with heavy loads and greater lifting heights of up to 13,560 mm and has load capacities of 1.4 or 1.6 or 2.0 tons.
