Strategic acquisition

Intralogistics service provider Samont takes over HTS Group

Samont has taken over the Croatian HTS Group as part of a strategic acquisition. The company, which specializes in the installation, maintenance and contract manufacturing of conveyor and intralogistics technology, is thus continuing its growth strategy. The two companies already have a long-standing and successful partnership.

The HTS Group is a technical service provider characterized by special expertise in electrical installation and maintenance in mechanical and plant engineering. "With the technical expertise and resources of the HTS Group, we are strengthening our capabilities and thus helping to meet our customers' gradually increasing demand for first-class technical services," emphasizes Samont Managing Director Jasmin Sarkinovic. At the same time, the Paderborn-based company is expanding its market presence in Southern and Eastern European countries.

The strategic orientation of the new company at the Varaždin site follows a hub-and-spoke model. National and international experts for the areas of installation, service and production will be gradually built up in the Varaždin hub. In addition, the proximity to universities and technical colleges in Varaždin offers the prospect of recruiting qualified young talent and thus helping to counter the acute shortage of skilled workers in mechanical and plant engineering.
