Intralogistics service provider Samont: growth spurt of 50 percent
The intralogistics service provider Samont GmbH, headquartered in Paderborn, is reporting a growth spurt of around 50 percent for the 2021 financial year.
The company, which focuses on the installation, maintenance and modernization of conveyor technology, reported a turnover of EUR 30.5 million, achieving its best business result since it was founded in 2008.
The number of engineers, technicians and assembly specialists employed increased to over 120 at the end of the year and continues to rise. In the first two months of the new year, Samont was able to recruit a further 20 new employees. Samont also relies on a network of subcontractors with a capacity of a further 500 employees for specific projects.
Founder and Managing Director Jasmin Sarkinovic sees the company's ability to provide the personnel capacity required for the installation and commissioning of intralogistics technology as crucial to growth. The basis for this is an innovative personnel recruitment and training program, which includes the exploitation of national personnel options as well as targeted recruitment in other European countries. This gives Samont a decisive competitive advantage in a market characterized by a shortage of qualified technical personnel.
The company also announced that it expects growth to continue in the 2022 financial year: "Our order books are full," said Managing Director Jasmin Sarkinovic.
