Logimat 2024
Fully automated pallet logistics right into the truck
At the trade fair, MSK will be presenting an intralogistics project at its customer Envases Öhringen. Here, a fully automated system controls packaged goods on pallets right into the truck.
The fully automated system, including pallet logistics from production, is networked using data technology. At Envases, the products are packed on Euro, one-way and chemical pallets made of both wood and plastic with a wide variety of load dimensions. A key automation task within the overall project was to provide this product mix in an intelligent and fully automated manner, taking into account optimum utilization of truck capacities.
Comprehensive pallet information with MSK Emsy software
MSK developed the entire conveyor concept individually according to the requirements on site and in coordination with Envases. It includes numerous roller and chain conveyors, rotary elements, vertical conveyors and mobile transfer carriages and extends from production to truck loading over two floors. The MSK Emsy software offers comprehensive pallet information tracking throughout the entire logistics system. It stores relevant pallet data, which is scanned via the QR code, so that the pallets can be tracked seamlessly throughout the entire logistics process.
All areas of the conveyor system are interconnected by the standardized control system and ensure smooth communication with each other, including peripheral devices such as scanners or scales. The system offers an interface to the ERP system, detailed statistics on production, maintenance or faults and makes important status information available at a glance. 3D graphics and animations make operation easy. The system supports troubleshooting and enables remote maintenance.
