The order is worth around four million euros and commissioning is planned for June 2022. At the heart of the automated logistics system will be a high-bay warehouse in silo design, which will be supplied by two viapal storage and retrieval machines (SRMs). Directly adjacent to this will be a two-aisle automated small parts warehouse (AKL) with two viaspeed stacker cranes. In addition, viastore is supplying the appropriate conveyor technology, installing picking stations and incoming goods lines and implementing software-controlled storage location management via the viadat 9.1 warehouse management system (WMS). Instead of a conventional sprinkler system, the logistics center is being equipped with a fire protection system that reduces the oxygen content of the air and thus minimizes the risk of fire.

At the new site, which is located in the immediate vicinity of Netzsch's headquarters, the pump manufacturer intends to centralize parts production, the storage of purchased parts as well as final assembly and shipping. Until now, production and assembly were located in different plants, which caused a high logistical effort for internal plant traffic. Netzsch is responding to the increasing demands of its customers with the future logistics center and will benefit from significantly more efficient processes and additional capacity for further growth
