Wanzl: Order record: 50,000 roll containers for DHL
Since 2013, roll containers from Wanzl have been on the road in DHL parcel centers throughout Germany under license from Deutsche Post DHL. To date, Wanzl has delivered 50,000 containers to Deutsche Post DHL - a new order record for the Wanzl Logistics + Industry division. "Round-the-clock operation" is the motto for the roll containers. "Up to five containers can be coupled in manual and tugger trains. A mechanism converts the swivel castors into fixed castors for track-keeping," says Markus Spengler, Head of the Wanzl Logistics + Industry division. A parking brake ensures stability when stopping. When empty, the roll containers can be folded and pushed into each other.
