LogiMAT in Stuttgart canceled - to continue in 2022
LogiMAT, which was scheduled to take place from June 22 to 24, 2021, has been postponed "due to the ongoing difficult coronavirus situation". In order to "provide exhibitors with planning security", the organizer has decided to postpone the upcoming trade fair to 8 to 10 March 2022.
"An end to the current travel restrictions is not foreseeable due to the vaccination situation and the mutations. We have to react to this in good time. Our exhibitors need planning security, which is not given at the moment," explains Michael Ruchty, Exhibition Director of LogiMAT. "From today's perspective, it is unclear whether the presence event could take place in full in June. The exhibitors would like to see an in-person event, but if we end up having to do without the important international participants, that is not in the interests of everyone involved. We must do everything we can to ensure that the justified expectations of exhibitors and visitors on site are met. Another postponement of 2 to 3 months would be neither sensible nor plannable. In the end, we have also decided on the March date in 2022 in order to return to the usual LogiMAT rhythm in the first quarter, as expressly requested by many exhibitors."
materialfluss says: An overdue and painful step that was unavoidable due to the facts. The organizer has learned and this time announced the cancellation in good time and did not leave the exhibitors in the dark until shortly before the start of the trade fair as to whether the trade fair can and will take place. ms
