New MAN heavy-duty trucks for Bohnet
Heavy-duty expert Bohnet relies on MAN: the first three of a total of twelve MAN TGX 41.640 8x4 XXL trucks were recently delivered to the Kirchdorf-based company in Sangerhausen.
Bohnet's day-to-day business mainly involves the Europe-wide transportation of heavy and oversized goods such as automobile presses, wind turbines, distillation columns and transformers. The company has been using MAN vehicles exclusively for many years.
The latest addition are three of a total of twelve MAN TGX 41.640 8x4 XXL heavy-duty semitrailer tractors, which were recently handed over in Sangerhausen in the southern Harz region. The three heavy-duty bolides can handle 250 tons individually and 500 tons in total when two towing units (similar to a pushing and a towing vehicle) are combined.
The four-axle trucks have the largest cab in the series, the XXL cab, and are therefore well equipped for long journeys across Europe. The 640 hp MAN TGX is also equipped with a D38 in-line six-cylinder engine and an automated MAN TipMatic manual gearbox with torque converter clutch. This increases the output torque of the engine by a factor of 1.58, resulting in an impressive 4,740 Nm.
